Getting started
Status: work in progress. Screenshots and flows land as the surfaces settle.
1. An account
Poly works without one, but an account gives your work a home: persistent chats, saved research, and a handle that becomes your card in Poly Credit. Sign in from the top bar; your handle is chosen once and stays.
2. The first chat
The composer accepts text, files, images, and voice. Chat uses our default model unless you choose another — including models from providers you connect with your own key — and local models (Ollama, OMM) need no key.
Tools are available in-chat: web search, link previews, code execution. The composer's paperclip is for files; the slash menu is for tools.
3. Link a wallet
Finance needs a signer: Add wallet on the Wallet page connects a Phantom (Solana) wallet you control. Poly reads its holdings for your book and cannot move anything from it.
Trades from a wallet you connect are signed in that wallet: Poly builds and proposes the transaction, and your wallet asks you to approve it. Agents you run in the cloud are the exception — see Your agents.
4. Where everything lives
| Section | What it is |
|---|---|
| Chat | The composer and every conversation |
| Research | Plans, flows, the canvas, the knowledge graph |
| Finance | The terminal, agents, fleets, Poly Credit |
| Office | Documents, spreadsheets, presentations |
| The Journal | This page — news, docs, changelogs, research |
5. The eleven-second tour
Open Finance, pick a token from the rail, and read the right column: traders, holders, and the top card — who is in, how concentrated, and what the safety scan says. Then open the Agents desk and watch a fleet run. Everything else hangs off those two ideas: one surface, many desks, all measured.
